Chase Military Programs for Mortgage-Free Housing!

JP Morgan Chase has teamed up with 3 fantastic non-profit organizations that dedicate their efforts to giving back to the military community.  Through the efforts of their non-profit partners, Chase promises to award 1,000 wounded or disabled veterans with mortgage-free housing.  The program is effective for the next 5 years, as Chase is actively seeking other non-profit organizations to become involved in this wonderful effort.

Chase is currently working with 3 non-profit organizations, specializing in providing aid to veterans in need.

Military Warriors Support Foundation

The Military Warriors Support Foundation created a program called Homes 4 Wounded Heroes, providing mortgage-free housing to those soldiers wounded during combat in Iraq & Afghanistan.  The program is aimed to provide financial and emotional support for families of veterans dealing with unique or trying circumstances due to injury or disability as a result of war. In addition to housing assistance, Homes 4 Wounded Heroes offers veterans and their families financial & family mentoring.

Operation Homefront

Operation Homefront, in partnership with Chase, has created a program called Homes on the Homefront which provides mortgage-free housing and assistance to service men & women in-need, or wounded veterans.  Home on the Homefront is designed to grant veterans a tenancy in a brand new property.  The program assists the family with financial and life counseling to save up funds to maintain the property after a 1-2 year period.  The goal of the program is to help the families become financial capable of owning the property after building funds and finding financial stability through the support & advisement of the program.  Homes on the Homefront designs a “transition plan” that assesses the needs of the individual families, and marks manageable checkpoints to lead the family toward financial stability and freedom.  Once the transition plan has been satisfied, the property is fully deeded to the family.

Building Homes for Heroes

Building Homes for Heroes is a unique non-profit organization that builds mortgage-free homes specifically for wounded and severely wounded veteran’s individual needs.  The homes are modified to provide veterans ease and independence, despite a disability or debilitating injury.  The program is run on a volunteer basis; with only 2 compensated employees, the program keeps their overhead costs low in order to maintain funding to produce as many beautiful custom homes as possible per year.  Building Homes for Heroes encourages all recipients to stay actively involved in the program through exciting events, honoring those who have served and received support from the program.  In addition, recipients give back to other men and women who have been severely wounded in combat by sharing their stories, and hopes for the future.  Building Homes for Heroes builds more than houses; they build a loving, supportive community to honor the brave men and women who have served our country.
